Sounds interesting but they pile on the requirements: Aquarist Fish Area Volunteer Duties: Divers at Moody Gardens get up close and personal with the residents in our tanks. They assist the staff Aquarists by feeding the animals and spending time cleaning. Divers also assist behind the scenes with a variety of duties including food prep and cleaning. Divers are scheduled every morning and afternoon. Qualifications: Dive volunteers must be at least Open Water Certified and have no less than 10 logged open water dives. They must also be at least 18 years old and be able to pass an AAUS dive physical. In addition to the medical exam, applicants must pass a written knowledge test, a swim test, and complete additional training such as DAN02 and a skills check out dive. They must have current: SCUBA Certified - Open Water level -must have before applying 10 logged dives - must have before applying current DANO2 certification - received at Moody Gardens pass written test - Taken at Moody Gardens in-water skills test - Conducted at Moody Gardens Swim Test -recevied through Moody Gardens completed AAUS Dive Physical - completed at the cost of the diver volunteer Minimum age: 18
