Set on a coastal road one mile south of George Town, this is a well-recommended middle-bracket hotel whose rooms are divided among a quintet of two-story pink-sided outbuildings. Accommodations are simple, no-nonsense, and comfortable. This resort is favored by divers and snorkelers, who appreciate the iron shore coast (site of excellent snorkeling possibilities) and the extensive diving programs. You’re given a number of options for accommodations. The midrange ocean view rooms open onto views of the sea and contain more space than the economical courtyard units. Or a spacious suite with sofa and two queen size beds.

Don’t expect to swim here off sand: You must lower yourself via ladders directly into the sea. Two more great reasons for staying here are direct access to the hotel’s much-praised restaurant, SeaHarvest, and its sprawling famous bar, My Bar, which is especially busy every Friday night. About 80% of the guests staying at the hotel here are scuba enthusiasts; and about 80% of the clients at the hotel’s bar and restaurant are full-time island residents.

Facilities: Restaurant; Bar; Outdoor Pool; Jacuzzi; Award Winning Sunset Divers Dive Operation; 5 custom dive boats; Beyond Massage Spa, Cathy Church’s Underwater Photo Gallery

Keith Wendy and I are well and working hard at the shop. Also trying like crazy to send folks your way. We are also pinching pennies for our return. Sort of fell in love with the place, though I can’t imagine why. May be going down to a time share this fall. Will let you know. Hope your holidays went well. How are the sister islands? Also who won the photo contest and did you get some good pics? Haven’t seen anything online. Take care and hope to talk to you soon. Are you going to beneath the sea? Our owner Mike Ange should be there. Take care Carmine
