U PDATE 8/13/2009- In addition to the below iformation, I have my final interview today to work with Club-Med at either the Turks & Caicos location or the San Salvador, Bahamas resort. Wish me luck!!

ABOUT ME- C urbrently live in Phoenix, AZ and always looking for some one to dive with. Here I usually go diving at "Desert Tortoise" (Lake Pleasant), however, I’m looking for other sites here in the desert of Arizona. If you know of one and need a buddy, please contact me. As for my dive history, in 1996 I moved to Maui, HI and lived in the town of Kihei. I got my PADI Open Water certification through Maui Dive Shop on June 20, 1996. In addition to that I had the luxury of free diving almost every day as my brother worked for Maui Dive Shop. After 2 years I moved back home to Phoenix, AZ to finish college (BA;Northern Arizona University). I remained in Phoenix for several years, only diving on trips/vacations. It wasn’t until about 2 years ago that I’d had enough of the career I was in and decided to leave some good money behind to get back into the scuba industry. I was hired and worked for Sport Chalet in Scottsdale, AZ running the Scuba Department. It was there where I started advancing my PADI training (AOW, Nitrox, Drysuit, DPV, Deep, & Rescue). In October 2008, I had the fortune to be able to leave the company and move to Vero Beach, Fl where I attended the Eastern Academy of Scuba Educators (EASE). There I obtained my PADIDivemaster, OWSI and Specialty Instructor for Wreck, Deep,Navigation, Search & Recovery, Equipment Specialist, Nitrox, &Emergency O2 Provider. I also decided to go further and receive my instructor training for EFR’s CPR/AED/First-Aid-Infant/Child/Adult Instructor and also for DAN’s courses. These include Oxygen, Advanced Oxygen, Aquatic Oxygen, On-Site Neurological Assessment For Divers, AED, and Hazardous Marine Life Injuries. In addition to those, I am a PSI certified Visual TankInspector, Eddy Current Technician, and Valve Inspector and a TDI O2 Service Technician and a DSAT TecRec Gas Blender. My instructor, Philippe Yersin and the rest of the staff were amaizing and very hands on!! I would recommend EASE to anyone looking to further their scuba education/career. After graduating I began looking for employment and was offered a job as an Instructor/Dive Guide for Nekton Cruises (Live-aboard dive ship). It was awesome!! I worked on "The Pilot" (one of the two ships they have). It was all I had dreamed of since I was a kid; leading dives and teaching while travelling to the islands of Mona, Monito, and Desecheo off the coast of Puerto Rico. We also spent several weeks taking guests diving in St. Croix, USVI. Sadly, I was recently laid off due to slow business. I’m currently back in Phoenix dying to get back to work in the scuba industry. I’ve hit up all the local dive shops, including my old job at Sport Chalet but haven’t had any luck. Especially with the economy like it is. If anyone is looking to hire some one passionate about diving and the ocean in general, PLEASE CONTACT ME!!! As to other locations I’ve been diving...... not a whole lot, but some pretty good spots. They include diving in California (Catalina, San Diego, Monterrey Bay), Florida (Marathon, West Palm Beach, Key West), Mexico (San Carlos, Seal Island, La Paz, Cancun), Hawaii (Maui, Molokini Crater, Oahu).
