Sorry for the delayed response to your message, but work, family, and other issues have kept me very busy lately. Sandy Koster and a few other friends plan several Florida Springs dives in the coming weeks and you’re invited to join us. Not sure if you’ve been in contact with her via divebuddy.com or of facebook, but here we go:
Wed July 23rd - 10am meetup Alexander Springs in the Ocala National Forest - my kids will join us and it’s a somewhat shallow spring dive(plan is 2 dives on 1 tank) with plenty of snorkeling time built in for a relaxing day.
Friday July 25th - 10am meetup at Manatee Springs in Chiefland - again, my kids will join us and I plan a 3 dive(2 tank) day. Plan: 1/2 tank in Manatee Sink for buoyancy check and kids’ comfort, then 1 tank in Catfish, then last 1/2 of 1st tank back in Manatee for fun.
Thursday July 31st - 9am meetup at Blue Grotto in Williston for a 3 dive(2 tank) day. My kids will again join us for a relaxing day of diving.
Wed Aug 6th - time and location still in discussion, but working on night dive at Devil’s Den in Williston. Sounds like we have 9 divers going so far and with 10 or more, price is $15 for a 1 tank night dive.
I’m also thinking about a short trip to Jupiter(boat dive w/Force-E) and Blue Heron Bridge in WPB for Thur/Fri Aug 7-8.
I’ll be out of town July 13-22, but you can text with your info at 352-235-6164. Hope you can join us.

PADI has a specialty for everything. I was diving with a person last year that had a least 50 different cards. The only one he needed was AOW for that dive. Funny.

Hi Al. What were the other 49?

What’s a Manatee Certification by PADI? Never heard of that one.

It is a Padi course taught at American Pro dive in Crystal River for Manatee awareness good course if you are going to dive with them
